WHEN I SAW WHAT THE COURSE WAS ABOUT I THOUGHT I WOULD BE A FUN EXPERIENCE AND A NEW LEARNING EXPERIENCE. THIS COURSE FOCUSES ON THINKING AND CREATING FOR YOURSELF. COMING UP WITH YOUR OWN IDEAS AND BEING ABOUT TO LEARN ABOUT TOPICS YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT.

ABOUT ME
I AM 14 YEARS OLD AND I BEGAN APOLLO THIS YEAR AS A FRESHMAN. SOME OF MY HOBBIES ARE SINGING, PAINTING, AND PLAYING SPORTS. I ALSO PLAY IN THE ORCHESTRA AND DO THEATRE ARTS. I HAVE BEEN DOING GYMNASTICS FOR 2 YEARS AND RUNNING TRACK FOR 3 YEARS. MY FAVORITE COLOR IS BLUE AND I'VE ALWAYS HAD A FASCINATION WITH SHARKS. I'VE ALSO HAD A STRONG INTEREST IN TRUE CRIME AS WELL.
MY PROJECTS
IN EACH ONE MY PROJECTS INCORPORATE  AMERICAN STUDIES ,ENGLISH AND ART. EACH PROJECT TOPIC IS MADE TO CONNECT WITH THE THINKING SKILL THAT THE PROJECT IS BASED AROUND. THE FOUR THINKING SKILLS ARE CONTEXTUALIZATION, PERSPECTIVE ,REASONING AND SYNTHESIS. 

Senior Year 

About me 

I am 17 years old and at this point I have been in Apollo for all 4 years of my high-school career. Some of my hobbies include gymnastics which I have been doing for 5 years. I am a platinum traveling competitive gymnast and my proudest moments have been competing in a few of the biggest competitions in the country. In January of 2022 I was given the greatest opportunity to compete in the Simone Biles International Invitational in Houston,Texas. Here I placed 8th in my division as 4 year gymnast competing in a national invitational for the first time. Gymnastics is a huge part of my life and one of my greatest achievements. Another big hobby that has stayed present through my high-school years is acting. I have completed all 3  years of the acting program here at my high school and I have been in two on stage shows. Since my freshman year my interest in true crime has continued and I have dedicated several months to projects surrounding true crime. Painting and drawing has continued to be one of my favorite things to do and it present through out my projects through the years. In school clubs that I am proud to say I have been a part of is aevidum and paru. Aevidum is a Mental health awareness and suicide prevention program and paru is an anti-racism club started here at my high-school that made it to the news . I am proud to say that both have a made a huge impact in the surrounding schools in our area as well as well as other high-schools in the country.  Down below are a few pictures from my invitational, theatre , track and field, and the state championship competition at Duquesne University.
